  1. Can you imagine how much harder is to jump, turn etc with his long limbs? He did great, congrats! Keep it up!

  2. Ilia was the best he deserved a higher score them judges need to go get their eyes checked. I thought his performance was magnificent. Way to go Ilia you're the best one. ❤👏👏👏👍 you're number 1

  3. This program is very well choreographed to mask his lack of refinement. He is definitely improving but he is nowhere near the two top Japanese men or a lot of other guys in the competition, when it comes to the components.

  4. He’s getting better all the time but really need to train cardio. He always gives off the impression that toward the end of the program he’s super burned out. But those jumps are pure perfection.

  5. Wow! An amazing amount of growth in a short time! Great choreography — and he looks great! This was amazing! Keep it up Ilia!

  6. Chatter, chatter, chatter ….so disrespectful to the skaters & fans. This us why NBC looses viewers

  7. I think artistically, he’s already there. The judges try to keep him down by not giving him the components and trying to prop up the Japanese skaters. He was masterful.

  8. Ilia’s short program component scores (pcs) here at 2024 Worlds (44.67) are almost identical to his pcs marks at the Grand Prix Final (44.67 vs 44.37). So the judging is pretty consistent. It’s just that the 44.67 was fourth best this time round, behind Shoma Uno (47.23), Kagiyama (46.46), and Jason Brown (45.92). But the pcs difference/deficit is only 2.56 compared to Shoma and the overall total segment score deficit (TES & PCS) is only 1.75. This can easily be made up in the free, as Tara said. I firmly believe both Shoma and Kagiyama, if they are both healthy and strategic, will attempt five quads in the free program. If they are successful, it will force Ilia, who is scheduled to skate last, to attempt six quads in order to win it all. That's not an easy task. If Shoma and Kagiyama land only four quads, Ilia will win it all with five quads (easy for him). But don’t be fooled by the baby face. Mild-mannered Shoma is a fierce competitor. And Kagiyama is whole again. Neither will go down without a fight. But, as I see it, a healthy Ilia is the only male competitor in the world who is bold enough and talented enough to land six quads. Ilia has been fighting with unburstable heart this season and is a true warrior on the ice. If he's forced into six quads, he can land them. And if he does, he will win even with with his usual 8.5-9.0 pcs marks. For those who are unhappy with Jason Brown’s PCS marks, keep in mind that the judges pcs mark is based, not just on presentation and composition, but also on skating skills. All three are affected by TES in some way but skating skill moreso than the other two. So its not realistic to expect the judges to award 9.5-10 to a men’s short program whose base mark is in the thirties, far below the other top competitors. Jason’s placement is about where it should be. He is a very talented, consistent, dependable, and reliable skater and he will finish top 6-10. The USA will earn three spots next season. Presently, he is the second most valuable asset in USA men’s figure skating. We may never see Jason top the podium at worlds, but what he does there each year makes it possible for other usa male figures skaters to have the opportunity to do just that.

  10. Jumps are perfect!!, but the program as a whole didn't wow me, don't care for this musiic or his artistic style

  11. His Skating skills should never be on the same level with Shoma and Kaguyama. Extremely inflated PCS score. Should be 8.0 at most.

  12. Astonishing, gold is good. Better to aim for heaven. I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE (JESUS). No one comes to the Father (GOD) except through Me. John 14:6 Are you afraid of dying? Jesus died for you. Believe and repent today!

  13. Wow!!! He's always had the jumps, but now he has developed the artistry and presentation. Incredible ❤⛸️

  14. Congrats Ilia for an inspired performance in spite of the intense pressure to win. You're only around one point behind Uno so winning the gold after FS is well within your reach! Keep up the good fight and God bless, our new American superstar!! To God be all the glory!

  15. Why was he only 3rd , were the other 2 really better? 🤔I luv this kid!! He has the brightest future. Can’t wait to witness it! ❤

  16. I think his reputation for supposed lack of artistry precedes him. That was an artistically beautiful program. The judges need to get with it and score him fairly on his artistry, because he definitely deserved better scores than what they gave him.
