Welcome to my first-time watching as we react to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2008). Even though this is not the last film in the Pirates saga it definitely felt conclusive to a lot of storylines that had been built throughout all 3 films.

In this third installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is trapped in Davy Jones’ Locker, and it’s up to Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) to rescue him and stop the East India Trading Company from conquering the seas.

The cinematography, score and mesmerizing visuals especially in the third act had us in absolute awe. This film effectively kept us immerse in this crazy world of pirates even at it’s craziest moments.

We hope that you enjoy our reactions, commentary and review as we discuss the fantastic score, great action sequences, our amazement with the CGI and how the entire “Flying Dutchman” crew looked, how Calypso’s wrath was depicted and why we believe Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is a worthy conclusion to a lot of the storylines we’ve been following and have enjoyed since the first film.

  3. I went to the first showing of this at midnight when it premiered. I was thinking this was a great film franchise, but knowing Disney they would ruin it by turning it into a musical, and then the kid started singing, lol

  4. The first 3 Pirates' movie have to the day the absolute unbeatable storytelling, character development arcs, story unfolding pace, and – this can never be praised enough – the fucking music. That soundtrack will go down in history as one of the best of the 21st century.

  5. Why beck in the days they knew how to not overuse CGI and when they did you could not tell if it is CGI or not it all looks beautiful even today and CGI in a lot today movies looks like crap because people overuse it instead do practical effects

  6. Someone once said that Will learned how to be a pirate from Jack and Elizabeth learned how to be a pirate from Barbossa, and I think that’s very true. Their styles are very similar when you think about it. 🙂

  7. This is my favorite Pirates movie. It's so creative and has so many satisfying conclusions. The fifth movie is kinda whatever, but the fourth (On Stranger Tides) is pretty cool! It stars Penelope Cruz and the guy who plays Finnick in the Hunger Games. It'd be cool to see you react to that one 👀

  8. Will technically got killed by his own sword, remember that he gives that sword to Norrington on the first movie? And then he Davy Jones takes Norrington Sword

  9. The animosity between Jack and Beckett goes back to when Jack liberated the Wicked Wench and its inhumane "cargo." Beckett had the ship burned and Jack branded as a pirate. That's when Jack made his bargain with Jones, who raised the Wicked Wench from its watery grave, and it became the Black Pearl.

In Florida on the Gulf Side people go to watch the sunset all the time and sometimes you actually can see the Green Flash as the Sun sets another cool thing is as the sun sets the light is still in the sky stays on the horizon for a long time i can actually be 9 :30 at night and you can see the light shining behind the Horizon its really cool to see!

  12. These three movies are almost perfect.
I do find Curse of the Black Pearl a lot better simply because it's the lest silly of the three and also more believable.
Other two are way sillier and swing hard into being grim to compensate. And it kinda breaks my suspension of disbelieve. Which is unfortunate, because they are really great movies.

  13. Hi Ari and Denise. I enjoyed your reaction to the third pirate movie. 🏳💀🍻 Can't wait to see your reaction to the 4th movie. And I just watched Deadpool and Wolverine, the movie was awesome. I hope you guys react to it on your channel.

  14. Davy waited 10 years to see Tia, only to be disappointed, which triggered their hates toward each other, turning each other into monsters. Let's hope Will and Elizabeth keep their promises. 😘

  15. Bit of an Easter egg… When the ship goes over the waterfall when they are looking for jack, the sound clip that is played is the audio from the pirate's of the Carribbean ride in Orlando

  16. always wondered, He may not be able to come on land only once every 10 yrs but, what stops her from going on the Dutchman.
The Dutchman drops Anchor of whatever Island she's living on, and he sends a longboat to bring her out.

  17. So yes, Keith Richards did play Captain Teague, Jack's father. He was asked to be in the movie specifically because Johnny had partially based Jack's mannerisms and look on Keith.

I don't know if they had always planned on revealing anything about Jack's family before Keith signed on — I wouldn't be surprised if Teague would have been rewritten to not be Jack's dad if Keith had not accepted the part and they needed to recast.

  18. Just so you know theres an amazing video edit of Everyone joining in on destroying Beckett. Its absolutely fantastic https://youtu.be/yVMy5_2dj6k?si=tHLConey_hHG9-g9

So happy you watch the trilogy. This, the Original Star Wars, The Prequels and Lord of the Rings really shaped my love for fantasy and sci fi. Its the greatest D&D adventure starting with simple undead pirates and cursed treasure and then ending fighting a Demi-God fish man on a Goddess’ battleground.

  19. The original trilogy for PotC really is a masterclass in storytelling and writing. Everyone has a goal, everyone has an angle, everyone is trying to gain leverage over one another in an attempt to further their own ambitions, and it's brilliant just how complex of a story you can get seeing all the characters clash with each other to do so. And then there's Jack, whose own goals and desires constantly change, making him the perfect agent of chaos to throw a wrench in everyone else's plans … it's just incredible.
