  1. The wedding is enhancing India's soft power and global goodwill, showcasing the richness of Indian culture, fashion, and cuisine. This mirrors the strategy seen in the Royal wedding, which highlights British extravagance and aims to bolster its soft power despite its historical colonial implications.

  2. In the same State as Mumbai(Maharashtra), the Palghar district there are kids suffering from Malnutrition. I don’t think spending 5000 Crores on a wedding is by any means justifiable. It’s not the fact that it’s their money and they can spend it anyway as they want. It’s bad that they have such a monopoly on so many industries in the country and obviously they have a lot of corrupt politicians on their side.

  3. Britishers worrying about inequality and poverty in India is the biggest hypocrisy. Don't be jealous. It is their money and their way. Worry more about how public money is used in UK 🇬🇧. Also please be more worried about love in your society where in 2 – 3 years people get divorced and all the love gets drown in Thames. Unfortunately for us you groom brown sahibs in india to satisfy your Whiteman burden to "civilise us the barbarians".

  4. This looks through money in the water, all is waste of money. Even if you are too too rich better simplicity is the best and rest all amount may have distributed to the poor families

  5. This is the reason India will never get to the top until the common Indians wake up from their dream to get their hands of from these class of people. Else Labours will always be the biggest resource of India, and will get exploited who they are being done from 1970's almost and exploitation increase after our " Gumnai Baba's" death when India started moving towards the so called Capitalism under the umbrella of Liberalization. Don't know where we will end, and if common Indians should start Migrating away from the country… After all this wedding showed how every level of society is connected with it instead of asking the correct questions… Are we moving towards Autocracy? And just eyewashing democracy!!!

  6. What we know about the bride and groom in short, yes they are in LOVE and they dated for a looonggg time before marrying. He wasn’t as fat as he looks now, he’s gained his weight because of health issues – steroids mainly, that was actually cause he had chronic asthma and that steroids were the cure but the side effects was his weight gain. She’s been by his side through out, they’re always on the spotlight but they’ve always been seen away from any dramas. I think it’s a good match.

  7. How blessed can a wedding or a marriage be when you rub your wealth in the face of starving and suffering people. This is disgusting. If you got that much money to blow why not share it with poor. They could have gotten probably half a million people weddings paid for with this money. They could have spent that creating safe homes for the ultra poor. Absolutely sick.

  8. No body needs to discuss the way the bride and the groom feel about each other . It’s totally a private affair . Can we Indian question about William and Kate or harry and Megan and say whether there was love

  9. He spent nothing…of his wealth…. I guess the limit of lavishness finished…beacuse there is nothing more to do… everything was on peak…. but apart from that only his 25 paise finish out of his 1000 rupees 😂😂

  10. britishits cant lose a opportunity to lie about any situation in India, 800 million? is it from the people who are given free rations. by that logic all free NHS recipients are poor.

Govt gives free rations bec it procures so much grains from farmers under assured purchase schemes, if govt wont distribute it it will lie waste in Food corporation of India's warehouses. India already 2 or 3 times the grains required in its warehouses and produces excess grains bec of govt schemes.

  11. Its funny how the british make a country poor then they work their assess off to earn their own money back and then they shit on the for 800 million people in poverty -hypocrites

  12. Has anyone in the West heard of the Circular Flow Model theory ?
I mean thanks to this or any wedding in any Asian country the money flows to all corners of the society, specially the working or the poor classes.
I feel this criticism coming from the BBC that goes to town blowing up THEIR ROYAL weddings is rather hypocritical. Why is it when Asians do it, all of a sudden the monocle goes on the eye ?
Please, at least this is NOT stolen money. It's the hard work of this man and if he wants to spend ,so be it. I feel the wealthy HAVE to spend to keep the cash flow moving and what this family did WILL reverberate to many corners of India. Without criticising it Mr Nikhil Ananda maybe you should do research on how it helped out a nation.

  13. They are billionaires, so let them enjoy and spend their money the way they want to spend it! Most people in the world would do the same for a wedding! Especially Indian! Nothing wrong with that!

  14. We the common people of India are extremely embarrassed by this garish & over the top big fat wedding by the Ambanis. Please don't consider it as a benchmark of an Indian wedding.

  15. jealousy… 😂 They had Royal Wedding and and the show off…. It's burning with jealousy… 😂 for Indians… 😭 (BBC) . The ancient jealousy by British racist.

  16. probably nearly 600 millions peoples are living in poverty yet the super rich are living in decadent. it's ridiculous & it's like telling the poor it's your own faults that you are poor

  17. You can't expect that BBC will have any thing to say a good word , as far as India/Indians are concerned. It is all colonial , supremacist, combined with Jihadist/crusader/ communist fascist mind set and hidden jealosy/envy.
these two guys are bending backwards to offer their precious condescending opinions/ideas .
Here , in this wedding nothing is wasted . It is a big boost to local economy, to all professions, textile, food, jewellery, fashion, event management, design, artists, musicians, and lot more, in thousands .They all get paid.
Nikhil is perpetuating dowry !!! idea. Arey dowry is really the share of the brides peoperty . They dont divide the family property at the time of each wedding. Arranged marriage ? why do you mean, you have to conform to the western ideas / settings/ norms?
arranged marriage is combined effort of all in the family – particularly boy/girl & parents after lot of consultation ,searching, they see, meet , talk and after every aspect is found to be true/good then they settle .

  18. BBC should first do a program on the 45 trillion USD that Britain owes to India after 76 years. Why nobody is talking about it.Manchester was built on indian skill and cotton and BBC should be ashamed to do such onesided program without content .Give tbe 45 trillion and Indias poverty will disappear at one shot or UK should become part of India to reverse 200 years of loot of its wealth which made the worlds richest country poor in first place.
