lets not waste money on drdo (which hires SC/ST categories + bureaucracy) and instead invest in startups, we need brains from general category people from IIT/NIT etc. who are ambituous brilliant patriotic and they will not need to go abroad..

Sir quality not quantity. DRDO requires brains like ISRO. Parlimentary panel has to give importance to quality not quantity.
Arms and weapons do not make a nation a superpower. The aim and objective of nation of India's stature is strong socio economic stability across a wide range of parameters and strategic independence. Independence in strategy, space, digital, financial, food, health, education (sci, tech research), energy is crucial. Super power status is a mere by product and can never the a prime objective a nation as large and as old and ancient as India.

Is someone pressurizing the GOI in order to not increase the expenditure in R&D or are these Babus and bureaucrats who are making it hard for govt to act quickly regarding increasing the R&D budget?
A country that have a 2 stupid nuclear armed neighbour. A country that faught 5 wars . A country whose army chief say's we have to prepare for 2.5 front war. A country which is world fastest growing economy, but that country have defence budget of 1.7% to it's GDP…. that's stupidity. We need a defence budget of 5% (2%for new procurement of indigenous weapons 1% for pension & salary. 1% for new infrastructure development & maintenance. 1% for research and development) . also This will be not sufficient we need private players like which gives extra funds & take contract for manufacturing & exporting to other countries also.

not justthe budget we need to update the the working of drdo also, remove as many as non technical staff like accounts, helpers etc. spend less in these things
We have to separate defence budget and DRDO budget, and invest 3 percent of overall gdp to R&D
In India politicians focus on winning elections by giving free things from state treasury they don't focus on long term growth and development specially in the research field and unfortunately majority of population don't know about what R&D means ๐ข๐ข

Sir please change our education system after 12 class our competitive exam for search and not drdo only focuse researches. Not comparing with iit there are another field for only researches and there also provide job like Indian private company.
