  1. Wait a minute. Is all my history wrong or just screwed up? WW 1 was caught by a Serbian nationalist who assassinated the Arch Duke during a parade as he was leaving the country. As for the Americans joining the war, that didn’t happen until 1918 (almost the end of the war).

  2. A detour to barbados is a detour toward the bermuda triangle. No wonder the USS Cyclops was never seen again.

  3. Sgt. Popkin, the Australian machine-gunner, shot him down. It was not Roy Brown, who couldn't have made the shot. The Baron was killed by a single .303 round which entered his lower right side and moved in an upper trajectory and exited out from his upper left chest. At the time Richthofen was only about 300 feet off the ground and had been struck from the ground. He had stopped firing and was making a U turn for home when he was hit. There is good evidence that one of his guns had jammed early on and the other had also. He knew that put him out of the fight and vulnerable, which is why he turned back.

  4. My take on #1 is that it was a cover up. Once he was accidentally or purposefully murdered, there was nothing anyone could do

  5. The last I heard, although Roy Brown was credited with shooting down the Red Baron, it was the Australian machine gun on the ground that most likely had the fatal shot. The Red Baron's tactics we're usually to pick off someone in a bad position. He was also a good shot. I don't think he actually flew better than the allied pilots, he just picked his fights carefully. He at first flew Albatross fighters, and later the Fokker triplane. There were never that many triplanes in the war, only about 250 were ever made I believe. The main advantage it had was it could climb quickly, but it was more of a point defense fighter because it didn't have much range.

  6. the red baron was shot down by Brown simple as that, the tin smith was shot by soldiers according to another vid I saw on him cornered, Gavrilo Princip the assassin that killed the duke was financed by England so there he did it.

  7. FYI, depicting a .50 caliber gun by using an image of a 16 inch main gun from a battleship is a bit off….just sayin…

  8. So a war between two regions had as many as four or more other regions at hand? Was England fighting for USSR taking France or no? WTH.

  9. I’ve heard of a ghost story I believe around 1917 in unfortunately I don’t recall the battle but story goes that German soldiers reported seeing a shadow figure just mere feet from their trench, several fired but had no effect on this said shadow and it disappeared. Hard to say credibility just due to fact it was at night, scared and tired troopers but, who knows.
