Outer Worlds, Days Gone and GTA were definitely forgettable. They were so forgettable that I never even finished them, and I forgot all about them until they were mentioned here.
I prefer Tom Clancy's The Division 1 over 2. 2's map looks just like any other post-apocalypse game, but snow covered New York mixed with missions that lets you see the aftermath of chaos really was an experience like no other.
And not sure if you can call this "open world", control. Can't get enough of the brutal-ism aesthetic layered on SCP-like settings.
Has to be Red Dead 2, Rockstar is just on another level in creating their open world games.

The biggest problem with Rage 2 is that game breaking glitch that doesn't let you do the last mission.

Sniper Elite 5 is awesome. The option to invade or have your game invaded by other players makes the game more challenging and fun.
Love the sideways nod to GTA IV. It IS the definitive GTA experience for a lot of us. V felt like a step backwards for me.

I played through borderlands 2 seven times. It was amazing. Borderlands 3 was a letdown in comparison imo.

It feels kinda disingenuous to talk about Fallout NV but show Fallout 4 New Vegas mod :/
The only negative thing i can say about Metro Exodus is that is too short cause its so good you want to keep playing in that world and traveling in the train
Days Gone deserves all the love it gets, probably the only game I've played besides Uncharted 4 I never wanted to end.
